What to do to do about water pollution.?
I live on a beautiful lake in central Arkansas. In the last few years I’ve noticed quiet a change in the water. Huge clumps of something that looks like human feces floats past out dock, not every day but several times per week. There is a sewage treatment plant about a 1/2 mile from my home. Every one in this neighborhood has septic tanks, as the city says they can’t put a sewer down our street. I need to know who to contact about this problem. There was a huge company here, but they closed their business not long ago. I need to know who to contact about this problem. Please don’t advise me to contact our city officials. They could care less.
Get in touch with a group like the nature conservancy or the sierra club. If you can pique their interest, they have the wherewithall to raise hell with the locals. The state EPA might be another to check with.
