What do i do when i have too much water in my in ground pool?

Recently had a really severe thunderstorms for about a week and my in ground pool almost filled up to the brink. I have a Pentair Clean and Clear pool filter. What do i do about the extra water? Can I backwash with a cartridge pool filter ? (I dont believe so) Is it bad for my pool to be filled this much? is there any way to remove the extra water without having to go rent a pool pump from home depot? I’m a first time pool owner so I dont have much knowledge in this. thanks in advance guys

Dont worry about it once it gets to the top it wll just flow over and wont hurt anything. Mine is in that same condition after six inches of rain.
