Oklahoma Listing laws?
Are there laws stating the responsibilities of a property’s owner/ RE broker prior to the sale of a property? (ie. must allow/provide termite inspection, water well tests, black mold tests, etc) If there are laws, where can I find the legislation for my area (Oklahoma)?
I’m am looking into purchasing an older house and doing a remodel, but I want to test the water well, test for mold, termites, etc. I have spoken with the RE Broker, but I don’t seem to be getting anywhere. I am interested in this property, but I want to know what I’m getting into first.
Thanks!
In Oklahoma, you can make an offer on a property, you then get a ten day window to hold all inspections you want done. You Realtor generally would schedule the inspections, but you might need to be involved with them. You then have a choice or chance to either ask the sellers to fix any issues you found, or to get out of the contract with no problems.
