Can the glossy magazines be recycled?

You know those trashy glossy mags that you buy, can I just pop those in the recycle bin? Also those plastic bags that say they are biodegradable, do they go in the recycle bin or regular rubbish bin?

IF there is a recycle logo (the triangle with arrows) on the bag or item, recycle it (Blue can where I live).
IF not, DON’T buy it next time.
